Sometimes your nightmares are more than just dreams. That’s the starting point for Don’t Look Deeper, Quibi’s star-studded new sci-fi thriller.

Set in Merced, California, “15 minutes into the future”, the series follows a high school senior who can’t seem to shake the feeling that something about her just isn’t right. And that she’s… not like everyone else. This revelation of what she really is, where she comes from, and who has started looking for her, sets in motion a series of events that suddenly puts her entire life in jeopardy.

Newcomer Helena Howard leads a cast that includes Don Cheadle and Emily Mortimer, as well as Ema Horvath, Jan Luis Castellanos, Belissa Escobedo, Kaiwi Lyman, Harvey Zielinski, Harvey Guillen, Brandon Win, Kayleigh Gilbert and Dana Gourrier.

Behind the camera, the talent is just as impressive, with Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke at the helm and exec-producing. Lost co-creator Jeffrey Lieber is writing and serves as showrunner.

The series premieres on 27th July, with episodes arriving on weekdays on Quibi in 10-minute chapters. The trailer arrives alongside the panel for the show at Comic-Con At Home, which saw Howard, Hardwicke and Lieber discuss the series with Cheadle and Mortimer.
