What’s coming soon to STARZPLAY UK in December 2021?

As one of the smaller streaming platforms in the UK, STARZPLAY sometimes struggles when it comes to having a large enough library to compete with, say, Netflix or Amazon Prime Video – at least in terms of quantity. 2021 has seen it stand out through the exclusive release of Stephen King’s The Stand and the second season of Pennyworth – plus Power’s spin-off series and star-studded true crime drama Dr Death.
This December sees the eagerly awaited return of The Great, but STARZPLAY has a bunch of festive films to unwrap as well. And, for those already tuning into the shows that debuts last month, there are still weekly episodes of Hightown (season finale on 19th December), Power Book II: Ghost Season 2 and Doom Patrol Season 3 to stream.
Here’s what’s coming soon to STARZPLAY UK in December 2021:
The Great: Season 2 – 5th December

Her fight to bring enlightenment to Russia will mean battling her own court and those closest to her, including her own mother (played by guest star Gillian Anderson). She will also battle her own heart as she continues to navigate her relationship with Peter. Ultimately, Catherine will learn that to change a country, you must let it change you, that there is a fine line between idealism and delusion, and that becoming ‘Great’ will ask more of her than she could have imagined. Episodes arrive weekly on Sundays.
