Trailer: Amazon’s Truth Seekers to debut this October

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s Truth Seekers will officially arrive on Amazon Prime Video in time for Halloween, and a new trailer gives us a full look at the horror comedy.
The series follows a team of part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see. However, as they stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race.
Pegg and Frost head up an impressive cast that includes Malcolm McDowell, Samson Kayo, Susan Wokoma, Emma D’Arcy, Julian Barratt, Kate Nash, Morgana Robinson and the actor Kevin Eldon.
The eight-episode series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Friday 30th October. Here’s the new video:

“We’re on the cusp of something here. A gateway between worlds…” That’s the sound of Amazon entering a new realm with Truth Seekers, a new series from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
The series follows a team of part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see. However, as they stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race.
Pegg and Frost head up an impressive cast that includes Malcolm McDowell, Samson Kayo, Susan Wokoma, Emma D’Arcy, Julian Barratt, Kate Nash, Morgana Robinson and the actor Kevin Eldon. Now, we’ve got a first look at them in action with the first trailer for the show, which was revealed during its virtual panel at Comic-Con At Home tonight.

It’s not much longer to wait until Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are back together again in new Amazon series Truth Seekers, and we’ve got our first look at them in action in the paranormal comedy.
The series follows a team of part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see. However, as they stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race.
Pegg plays Dave and Frost plays Gus, and they’ve assembled a star-studded cast to join them, including Malcolm McDowell as Richard, Samson Kayo as Elton, Susan Wokoma as Helen, Emma D’Arcy as Astrid and Julian Barratt as Dr. Peter Toynbee. You can see the cast in character in six new images released today by Amazon Prime Video. (Additional cast for the series also include Morgana Robinson as Janey, Kate Nash as Mary and the actor Kevin Eldon as Jack.)
The series will premiere later this year – expect more updates on that this week, as Amazon heads to Comic-Con At Home to hold a virtual panel previewing the series. Malcolm McDowell, Samson Kayo and Julian Barratt are among the names joining Amazon’s new series Truth Seekers.
The horror comedy from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost follows Gus (Frost) and Dave (Pegg), two part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see. However, as they stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race.
Set in a mysterious world filled with dread and just-out-of-sight monsters, Truth Seekers mixes the very funny with the very scary.
Joining the duo are an impressive line-up of names, including A Clockwork Orange’s McDowell as Richard, Famalam’s Samson Kayo as Elton, The Mighty Boosh’s Julian Barratt as Dr. Peter Toynbee, Wanderlust’s Emma D’Arcy as Astrid and Crazyhead’s Susan Wokoma as Helen. Additional cast for the series also include Morgana Robinson as Janey, Kate Nash as Mary and the actor Kevin Eldon as Jack.
Truth Seekers is co-written by Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz who Executive Produce alongside Miles Ketley and Jim Field Smith who also serves as director. Filming began this week – see above and below for the first images of the production.
Truth Seekers: Amazon acquires Simon Pegg and Nick Frost series

Amazon Prime has secured global rights to Truth Seekers, a new horror series from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
The show is produced by Stolen Picture, Pegg, Frost and Miles Ketley’s UK based production company. It stars Nick Frost as Gus and Simon Pegg as Dave, two part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see. However, as they stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race.
