November will officially be the Happiest Season this year, with Hulu’s new festive film getting a digital premiere at the end of the month.
Directed by Clea DuVall, and written by DuVall and Mary Holland, the film is a romantic comedy that captures the range of emotions tied to wanting your family’s acceptance, being true to yourself, and trying not to ruin Christmas.
Meeting your girlfriend’s family for the first time can be tough. Planning to propose at her family’s annual Christmas dinner – until you realize that they don’t even know she’s gay – is even harder. Kristen Stewart stars as Abby, who learns that Harper (Mackenzie Davis) has kept their relationship a secret from her family, she begins to question the girlfriend she thought she knew.
Stewart and Davis lead a star-studded cast that also includes Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza, Dan Levy, Victor Garber and Mary Steenburgen. You can see them all in action on Thursday 26th November, when the film is available to watch online in the UK. Originally set for a cinema release, the movie is instead going straight to streaming due the current coronavirus pandemic lockdown. It will be released to buy from £7.99 and rent from £3.49 on Sky Store, Virgin Movies, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV (iTunes), Microsoft Store, YouTube Movies and Google Play.
