Netflix renews Selling Sunset for Season 6 and 7

Netflix has renewed Selling Sunset for a sixth and seventh season.
The reality series, set in the world of LA’s high-end real estate, follows seven of the city’s most successful female realtors who all work under the same roof at the Oppenheim Group. They work hard and play harder, as they compete with the cutthroat LA market and each other, dealing with mind-blowing mansions, shocking romances and explosive dramas that will change their relationships and careers.
“Netflix’s entertaining mix of reality TV drama and property porn is jaw-dropping, compulsive TV,” we wrote in our review of the first three seasons.
Since then, the show has returned for a fourth and fifth chapter, once again following the tumultuous rivalries between realtors Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Mary Fitzgerald (and Romain Bonnet), Heather Rae Young, Amanza Smith, Maya Vander and Davina Potratz, overseen by brothers Jason and Brett Oppenheim.
“Bloated and increasingly contrived, the fifth season of this real estate reality series feels like hard work,” we wrote in our review of Season 5.
Now, Netflix has officially greenlit a sixth and seventh outing – the second time that Netflix has issued a double-season order for the programme. Production on the new instalments will begin this summer.
In the meantime, Netflix is also expanding its slate of real estate reality series. Here’s a rundown of what’s on the way:

Netflix renews Selling Sunset for two more seasons
11th March 2022
Netflix has renewed Selling Sunset for two more seasons.
The show returned to Netflix for Season 3 last August. Now, Netflix has confirmed it has commissioned a fourth and fifth season.
“In my eyes, unscripted TV is one of the most broad and diverse categories of entertainment,” said Brandon Riegg, Netflix VP of Unscripted and Documentary Series, in a blog post announcing the commission. “There are competition shows to be named the best singer… or the worst baker. There are dating shows to find the one (or $100,000). There are home design shows to spark inspiration (and even joy!). And there are programs that follow real people going about their real lives, among many others.
“Whether you love these shows outright or just love a guilty pleasure, we’re thrilled that Netflix members have embraced our docusoaps. ”
Returning to our screens in Selling Sunset will be Jason and Brett Oppenheim as well as Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Mary Fitzgerald (and Romain Bonnet), Heather Rae Young, Amanza Smith, Maya Vander and Davina Potratz.
Adam DiVello will serve as Executive Producer, with Done and Done Productions and Lionsgate both producing.
Netflix has also renewed Bling Empire for a second season and announced two new docuseries – My Unorthodox Life (from the executive producer of Bling Empire) and Florida real estate series Allure Realty, from the creators of Selling Sunset.
Here’s the official synopsis for that: “Along the Florida coast, Allure Realty stands out among the crowd. Owned by military vet Sharelle Rosado, this all Black, al- female real estate firm has its eyes set on dominating the Suncoast. These ladies are equally as fun as they are fiercely ambitious, with all of them vying to be on top of the lavish world of luxury waterfront real estate. Sharelle has big plans for her brokerage and won’t let anyone or anything get in the way of making her dreams a reality.”
