“Sorry, I didn’t realise I was going to be this nervous.” That’s the sound of Netflix’s The Kissing Booth open for business again.
The romantic comedy, which was was based on the Beth Reekles self-published coming-of-age novel that became an international sensation, was one of Netflix’s first in the genre, paving the way for the success of movies such as To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser. The sequel catches up with Elle (Joey King), after the most romantic summer of her life with reformed bad-boy boyfriend Noah (Jacob Elordi). But now Noah is off to Harvard, and Elle heads back to high school for her senior year. She’ll have to juggle a long-distance relationship, getting into her dream college with her best friend, Lee (Joel Courtney), and the complications brought on by a handsome, charismatic new classmate named Marco (Taylor Perez).

The Kissing Booth 2 officially has a release date, with Netflix dropping its rom-com sequel this July.
The romantic comedy, which was was based on the Beth Reekles self-published coming-of-age novel that became an international sensation, was one of Netflix’s first in the genre, paving the way for the success of movies such as To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser.
The sequel will follow Elle Evans (Joey King), who has just had the most romantic summer of her life with her reformed bad-boy boyfriend Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi). But now Noah is off to Harvard, and Elle heads back to high school for her senior year. She’ll have to juggle a long-distance relationship, getting into her dream college with her best friend, Lee (Joel Courtney), and the complications brought on by a close friendship with a handsome, charismatic new classmate named Marco (Taylor Perez). When Noah grows close to a seemingly-perfect college girl (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Elle will have to decide how much she trusts him and to whom her heart truly belongs.
Director and screenwriter Vince Marcello returns at the helm, also writing the script with Jay Arnold. Now, we know exactly when to see them all back in action, with Joey King – also an exec-producer on the film – piecing together a puzzle in lockdown that revealed the release date:
The film will premiere on Netflix on 24th July. To keep fans entertained until then, Netflix has also dropped a slew of new deleted scenes from the first film:

Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Taylor Perez have joined the cast of The Kissing Booth 2.
Joey King, Joel Courtney, Jacob Elordi, Meganne Young, Carson White and Molly Ringwald have already been confirmed for the sequel to Netflix’s popular romantic comedy. Now, they’ll be joined newcomer Perez and Richardson-Sellers, whom TV fans will recognise from Legends of Tomorrow and The Originals.

A sequel to The Kissing Booth is on the way to Netflix.
The romantic comedy, which was was based on the Beth Reekles self-published coming-of-age novel that became an international sensation, was one of Netflix’s first in the genre, paving the way for the success of movies such as To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser.
Now, the original has proven so popular that Netflix will reunite Joey King, Joel Courtney and Jacob Elordi for The Kissing Booth 2. Directed by Vince Marcello, it is written by Marcello and Jay Arnold. Marcello also produces, alongside Michele Weisler, Andrew Cole-Bulgin and Edward Glauser.
Production is already underway, with Netflix announcing the sequel with a cute video aptly released on Valentine’s Day. Here it is:
