Mark Kermode is heading to YouTube tonight to stream his first virtual MK3D show.
A monthly show, Mark Kermode Live in 3D, brings together film fans at the BFI Southbank for an evening of interviews, discussion, previews and audience Q&As, with previous events released as part of his Kermode on Film podcast. With the UK on lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, and BFI Southbank’s doors shut for the foreseeable future, Mark is taking to the web for his 51st show, which will be beamed into living rooms live and for free.
Also joining the critic from the safety of their own homes are Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who talks about her roles in Misbehaviour and Belle, prolific actress, comedian and national treasure Meera Syal, who reveals her guilty pleasure, Jack Howard, one half of Jack & Dean, and Greg Proops of The Smartest Man in the Room, the first guest to out-talk Kermode. Ever. The show also features a first interview with the BFI’s new CEO Ben Roberts, plus Calm With Horses actors Niamh Algar and Cosmo Jarvis, whose film is available to buy and rent online from today (read our review, plus where you can stream it online here).
MK3D Online Live begins at 6.30pm here:
