Apple TV+ brings back Fraggle Rock mid-lockdown

Never let a lockdown come between you and your favourite childhood TV show. That just might be the motto at tech giant Apple, which is bringing back Fraggle Rock for a brand new series.
Fraggle Rock: Rock On! revives the classic 80s show, with its familiar stars — Gobo, Red, Boober, Mokey, Wembley and Uncle Traveling Matt — joining together again for new stories and classic Fraggle songs that show everyone how we are all connected through friendship.
In accordance with social distancing guidelines, the whole thing is shot on iPhone 11 phones from the homes of the production team and individual artists from all over the US. Likewise, while the Fraggles might be in different parts of the Fraggle Rock caves, they can still find ways to have fun together, with music, silliness, special guests, and of course the help of devices created by the industrious Doozers — lovingly called the Doozertubes.
Episode 1, Shine On, sees new Doozertubes delivered to the Fraggles’ caves, allowing them to come together for the song Shine On, Shine On Me. It’s available now to stream for free worldwide on Apple TV+. New episodes will premiere every Tuesday on the streaming service, all of them available to watch at no cost.
It joins a host of other Apple TV+ originals that have been made available for free to everyone, including Little America, Servant, For All Mankind, Dickinson and – for kids – Helpsters, Ghostwriter and Snoopy in Space.
