Apple TV+ makes original shows available for free

Apple TV+ is making some of its original shows available for free, as people stay at home during the coronavirus lockdown.
The tech giant’s fledgling streaming platform is still in its infancy, but has already amassed a number of originals, from flagship drama The Morning Show to new gaming comedy Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet. Now it’s in its effective second wave of original projects, Apple is turning to some of its first wave of productions to make its catalogue more accessible to the wider public.
Three kids’ programmes, four dramas and one family film are all now available without an Apple TV+ subscription, which normally costs £4.99 a month.
You can find the shows with the Apple TV app, under the heading “Free for Everyone“ (in the US, the free collection is also available through your web browser at apple.co/freeforeveryone). The app was once an Apple exclusive but has since expanded to other non-Apple platforms, including Samsung or LG Smart TVs, Roku devices and Amazon Fire TV.
