“I need your help.” “I thought I wasn’t your therapist anymore.” “And look what’s happened!” That’s the sound of Lucifer reaching its final reckoning, as the Netflix series returns for its sixth and last chapter.
The series, which is based on comic book characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg, follows the original fallen angel (Tom Ellis) after he’s given up his throne in the underworld for the underbelly of Los Angeles, where he helps the cops to punish criminals. He is joined by Lesley-Ann Brandt as devoted, demonic ally Maze, Lauren German as LAPD detective Chloe, Rachael Harris as Lucifer’s therapist, and DB Woodside as Lucifer’s brother.
Netflix resurrected the show for a fourth season, after its unexpected cancellation, and has since brought it back again for a two-part fifth season, with the final chapter now only weeks away. Blending plot twists and surprise faces with even animation, the trailer teases a climax in which the laws of nature are breaking down and the apocalypse is nigh. How it it all going to end? Find out on 10th September, when Season 6 premieres on Netflix. Here’s the trailer:
