Netflix renews Green Eggs and Ham for Season 2

Netflix has renewed Green Eggs and Ham for a second season.
The series, loosely inspired by the Dr. Seuss book, is a star-studded affair, with a voice cast that includes everyone from Adam Devine and Diane Keaton to Michael Douglas, Eddie Izzard and Keegan-Michael Key.
Produced by Ellen DeGeneres and created by Jared Stern (The LEGO Batman movie), it follows standoffish inventor (Guy, by name) and Sam-I-Am of worldwide fame, as they embark on a cross-country trip that tests the limits of their friendship. The 13-part first season saw them try to save an endangered animal, as well as eat the famous green and tasty treat.
Now, just over a month after its debut, Netflix has announced that it has ordered a second helping – this time, comprising 10 portions. Season 2 of the hand-drawn series will continue following Guy and Sam-I-Am as they go around the globe and outside their comfort zones when they get caught between two sides of a delicious conflict.
The renewal marks Netflix’s continued push into kids’ TV, with its own in-house studio adding to a line-up that includes She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Carmen Sandiego, Dragons: Rescue Riders, Oni and Bone.

Heroes aren’t born, they’re poached, scrambled, and fried… That’s the logic behind Netflix’s new animated series, Green Eggs and Ham, which is being served up this month.
The story you know is just the start. The show, which is produced by Ellen DeGeneres and created by Jared Stern (The LEGO Batman movie), follows standoffish inventor (Guy, by name) and Sam-I-Am of worldwide fame, as they embark on a cross-country trip that tests the limits of their friendship. The 13-part series will see them try to save an endangered animal, as well as eat the famous green and tasty treat.
Bringing the series to life is a star-studded cast that includes Adam Devine, Michael Douglas, Ilana Glazer, Diane Keaton, Keegan-Michael Key, Eddie Izzard, Jeffrey Wright, Jillian Bell, Tracy Morgan, Daveed Diggs and John Turturro.
The series premieres on Netflix on 8th November. Here’s the trailer:

Diane Keaton and Eddie Izzard to star in Netflix’s Green Eggs & Ham
19th February 2019
What do Diane Keaton, Eddie Izzard, Michael Douglas and eggs have in common? They’re all coming to Netflix later this year.
The streaming giant announced back in 2015 that it was bringing Dr. Seuss’ Green Eggs and Ham to the small screen in a new animated series.
Now, with little word on the project since then, Netflix has unveiled the voice cast for the programme – and it’s a delectable bunch, including Adam Devine, Michael Douglas, Ilana Glazer, Diane Keaton, Keegan-Michael Key, Eddie Izzard, Jeffrey Wright, Jillian Bell, Tracy Morgan, Daveed Diggs and John Turturro. You can see the first image of the characters above, and a cute teaser below.
Green Eggs & Ham will premiere on Netflix in autumn this year.
Ellen DeGeneres and Netflix order Green Eggs and Ham TV series
1st May 2015
Now here’s some rather happy news
based on the rhymes of Dr. Seuss:
Green Eggs and Ham will become a show
produced by your fav. TV host.
Ellen DeGeneres will oversee it;
Netflix will be the place to stream it.
A statement was sent out this week
In rhyming form. Here’s a quick peek:
“In this richly animated production,
a 13-episode introduction,
standoffish inventor (Guy, by name)
and Sam-I-Am of worldwide fame,
embark on a cross-country trip
that tests the limits of their friendship.
As they learn to try new things,
they find out what adventure brings.
Of course they also get to eat
that famous green and tasty treat!”
Cindy Holland, VP of Original Content for Netflix
threw her quote into the mix:
“We think this will be a hit
Green Eggs and Ham is a perfect fit
for our growing slate of amazing stories
available exclusively in all Netflix territories.”
“Where can one watch?” viewers may cry.
Holland composed this neat reply:
“You can stream it on a phone.
You can stream it on your own.
You can stream it on TV.
You can stream it globally.”
Ellen announced it on her show,
which was caught in this short video:
The animation’s distribution
will be by Warner Television.
There’s no confirmed release just yet
but it’ll take time and money, we bet.
