The Tiger King and I has become one of the most talked-about series of recent weeks, dominating conversations almost as much as the coronavirus pandemic.
“This irresistibly outrageous documentary about two rival big cat owners is stuffed with juicy, jaw-dropping revelations,” we wrote in our review.
Now, it’s getting the ultimate proof of its popularity: it’s getting its own after-show.
Hosted by Joel McHale, The Tiger King and I brings fans deeper into the bizarre world of the documentary series. Joel interviews many of the main subjects from the series about their reactions to the show, inluding John Reinke, Joshua Dial, John Finlay, Saff, Erik Cowie, Rick Kirkman, and Jeff and Lauren Lowe. The colourful cast of characters will have a chance to tell their story directly, giving us inside info, opinions, and insight into the controversial show
Executive producers of The Tiger King and I are Joel Gallen and Rick Austin of Tenth Planet Productions, who most recently produced the IHeart Living Room Concert for America on Fox where Elton John hosted the show from his kitchen, alongside McHale (Community), Boyd Vico (The Joel McHale Show) and Brad Stevens (The Joel McHale Show).
The special will premiere on Netflix on 12th April as Episode 8 of the Netflix series.
