Last week, we reported that Channel 4 is teaming up Film4’s FrightFest to screen a selection of exclusive horror short films this month. The deal, the first time the broadcaster has partnered its VOD service with a film festival, is only one of several new releases on All 4 this month, as it continues to build its shorts platform.
From circus girls to celebrity wardrobes, here is what’s coming to All 4’s shorts line-up this month:
Drones in Forbidden Zones – Out now
Having explored the beer cathedral that is Bass Maltings in Lincolnshire, the epic towers of Willington Power Station in Derbyshire, and the ghostly vestiges of derelict Camelot Theme Park in July, August brings us three more Drones In Forbidden Zones. Centring on accessing dangerous or difficult locations, our urban exploration drones now get privileged access to the Crossrail tunnel at Bond Street, HMP Kingston prison and the Farnborough Wind Tunnels.
Circus Girls – Out now
This short series explores what it takes to be a modern female circus performer, with six acts explaining why they got into circus life, as well as putting on an exclusive performance. The troupe includes Imogen Rose Macrae, a swings performer who strives to transcend showy tricks by adding a layer of narrative to her soaring performances, contortionist Lily Raptor, and fire-eating Missy Macabre.
Crazy Sexy Cool – Out now
Presented by actress and fashion store-owner Meryl Fernandes, this six-part series centres on fun visits to influential celebrities who take us through their wardrobe, picking out their ‘craziest’, their ‘sexiest’ and their ‘coolest’ outfits. Subjects include Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing, Hollyoaks’ Jennifer Metcalfe and former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt.
SeXXXy Tats – Out now
Six individuals share their naughty tats in naughty places, the thinking behind them, and their outlook on the bizarre, beautiful, and questionable artwork they add to themselves.
What Not To Do – Out now
As previously reported, Alex Brooker presents this six-part series where a disabled and non-disabled actor play up to those hard to watch, awkward situations, from conducting a job interview to going on a date. For more information, click here.
A Moment of Horror – 1st September
Six short films exclusively shown on All 4 following their screenings at FrightFest 2015. The creepy encounters in the series include the tale of a young mother, who discovers she feeds something much more sinister than her own baby, and a janitor, who notices the doors he closes on his nightshift never remain shut.
