Amazon acquires Hotel Transylvania: Transformania

Amazon has snapped up the exclusive streaming rights to Hotel Transylvania 4.
Titled Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, the fourth entry in the animated franchise sees the series creator Genndy Tartakovsky returns as one of the screenwriters and executive producers. It sees Drac and the Pack back,like you’ve never seen them before, as Drac (Brian Hull) faces his most terrifying task yet. When Van Helsing’s (Jim Gaffigan) mysterious invention, the Monsterification Ray, goes haywire, Drac and his monster pals are all transformed into humans, and the human interloper in their monstrous world, Johnny (Andy Samberg), becomes a monster. In their new mismatched bodies, Drac, stripped of his powers, and an exuberant Johnny, loving life as a monster, must team up and race across the globe to find a cure before it’s too late – or, at least, before they drive each other crazy.
Selena Gomez will serve as an executive producer, while reprising her role as Drac’s daughter, Mavis. The film also features the voices of Kathryn Hahn (Ericka), Steve Buscemi (Wayne), Molly Shannon (Wanda), David Spade (Griffin the Invisible Man), Keegan-Michael Key (Murray), Fran Drescher (Eunice), Brad Abrell (Frank), and Asher Blinkoff (Dennis).
Directed by Derek Drymon and Jennifer Kluska, the film is produced by Alice Dewey Goldstone and executive produced by Tartakovsky and Michelle Murdocca. The story is by Tartakovsky with a screenplay by Amos Vernon and Nunzio Randazzo and Tartakovsky.
In a deal with Sony Pictures Animation, Amazon will exclusively stream the film on Amazon Prime Video.

The film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 14th January 2022. It joins a growing number of high-profile film acquisitions for Amazon studios, including Coming 2 America, Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse, The Tomorrow War and The Green Knight.
