Freevee, Amazon’s ad-supported free streaming service, has had a rebrand. The platform, formerly known as IMDb TV, is part of the Amazon Prime Video app, and provides films and TV shows for free, but with adverts.

It requires an Amazon account to use, but does not require any payment, memberships or subscription. It does not include everything that would normally be included with an Amazon Prime subscription, but there are some titles that are also available part of an Amazon Prime subscription, so that viewers can pay should they want to watch with no adverts. Each month, Amazon will be adding titles to the Amazon Freevee library, from third party acquisitions to exclusive originals. Here’s what’s coming soon in September 2022:

Longmire: Season 1 to 6 – 2nd September

Robert Taylor and Katee Sackhoff star in this Western drama about the widowed, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming.

Gladiator – 2nd September

Ridley Scott’s historical epic, starring Russell Crowe, is as good now as it was over 15 years ago.

Money Monster – 2nd September

Jodie Foster directs this thriller, which sees an angry investor break into the studio of financial TV show and threaten the host live with a gun and a bomb. (George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Jack O’Connell star.)

District 9 – 2nd September

Neil Blomkamp and Sharlto Copley shoot to stardom with this slick and compelling sci-fi.

The Wedding Guest – 2nd September

Dev Patel delivers an excellent turn against type in this slight but compelling thriller.

The Following: Season 1 to 3 – 2nd September

Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy star in Kevin Williamson’s thriller about an FBI agent on the hunt for a brilliant and charismatic serial killer who communicates and connects with other active serial killers in the US, who in turn follow his every command.

Black Sea – 9th September

Kevin Macdonald and Dennis Kelly’s enjoyably old-fashioned thriller about a deep sea gold heist explores the dark depths of humanity.

Parks and Recreation – 16th September

Warm, funny and irresistibly positive, this comedy never fails to make you smile.

30 Rock – 30th September

Tina Fey’s sitcom is witty, self-aware and utterly joyful.
