It’s an animated sci-fi summer in August on Disney+, with Star Wars and Futurama both returning to our screens. They’re joined by Ryan Murphy’s teen thriller The Shards and Season 2 of FX’s Adults.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Disney+ UK in August 2026:

Time and Water – 1st August

Futurama: Season 14 – 3rd August

Brace yourselves… The future is about to get a whole lot stranger! It’s a non-stop onslaught of swaggering space pirates, lab-grown meats, sexy scams… plus the shocking return of Dr. Zoidberg’s lost love! You didn’t see that coming, prior to being told about it just now!

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place: Season 3 – 5th August

Billie discovers that the only way to rescue her mother is to reunite with her long-lost father. As her family bands together to find Alex, Billie realizes that their combined power is the only way the Russos can defeat the evil force that aims to destroy them.

Star Wars: Visions Presents: The Ninth Jedi – 5th August

The Jedi and the Sith have disappeared, but the Force remains an ally to those who wish to stand up for what is right. This summer, trust in the Force and listen to your heart when Kara resumes her quest to find her missing father and evade Jedi Hunters in Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi, a new limited series that continues the story that began with the fan-favourite The Ninth Jedi short from Star Wars: Visions Volume 1, and continued with The Ninth Jedi – Child of Hope in Star Wars: Visions Volume 3.

FX’s The Shards: Season 1, Episode 1 to 2 – 6th August

FX’s The Shards is a seductive drama series from executive producer Ryan Murphy, based on the acclaimed bestselling novel by Bret Easton Ellis. Set against the vivid backdrop of 1980s Los Angeles, the series follows a group of privileged high school seniors at an elite prep school as they navigate identity, sex, jealousy, obsession and the dangers lurking beneath the surface of American adolescence.

House of Stassi – 12th August

Reality TV icon, Stassi Schroeder, is back! Returning to the spotlight isn’t as easy as it seems, and as cameras roll, her closest relationships are put to the ultimate test.

Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear – 13th August

After surviving a devastating plane crash that nearly took his life, legendary and electrifying drummer Travis Barker embarks on a raw and redemptive journey.

Camp Rock 3 – 14th August

When Connect 3 loses their opening act for a major reunion tour, they return to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. As campers vie for the chance to open for their favourite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested – leading to unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances.

Lion – 20th August

Jon Favreau and Mike Gunton tell the journey of a real lion in this new National Geographic series.

The Simpsons: Yellow Mirror – 26th August

A defective lamp reveals a heartbreaking truth about what Homer believes is reality, and an AI-powered tablet befriends and controls Maggie. The Simpsons struggle to find the light through two dark tales of the curious and bizarre in the third of three standalone episodes landing on Disney+ this summer.

Adults: Season 2 – 28th August

The ensemble comedy series about a group of twenty-somethings in New York trying to be good people returns for a second chapter.
