Here’s what’s coming soon to Disney+ UK in October 2022:
The Walking Dead: Final Episodes – 3rd October
As each group continues to get caught in uncontrollable situations, dangers lurk around every corner — both dead and alive. The looming pressure is cresting towards a day of reckoning for all, but will the sum of their individual journeys cumulate into one, or divide them forever? The fight for a future continues to be threatened by the ominous and growing population of walkers. Not all will survive, but for some, the walking dead lives on…
The Bear – 5th October
The Bear follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), a young chef from the fine dining world, who comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop – The Original Beef of Chicagoland – after a heartbreaking death in his family. A world away from what he’s used to, Carmy must balance the soul-crushing realities of small business ownership, his strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff and his strained familial relationships, all while grappling with the impact of his brother’s suicide. The Bear is about food, family, the insanity of the grind, the beauty of Sense of Urgency and the steep slippery downsides. As Carmy fights to transform both The Original Beef of Chicagoland and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges kitchen crew that ultimately reveal themselves as his chosen family.
Grey’s Anatomy: Season 18 – 5th October
Season 18 of the long-running medical drama finds the city of Seattle revelling in its rebirth post-pandemic. Bailey has her sights on hiring new doctors, but there seems to be a lack of viable options. Owen and Teddy attempt to take the next step in their engagement, and Meredith meets a dynamic doctor with a connection to her mother. The full box set arrives after the show’s UK debut on Sky Witness.
Marvel’s Werewolf by Night – 7th October
Directed by composer Michael Giacchino, the series stars Gael García Bernal and Laura Donnelly and is based on the comic book character who has traditionally been a sparring partner of Moon Knight. Ever since Jack Russell first transformed into a werewolf, the howling hero has protected the darkest corners of the Marvel Universe from supernatural threats – while going on an occasional rampage himself.
Candy: Season 1 – 12th October
Candy Montgomery is a 1980 housewife and mother who did everything right—good husband, two kids, nice house, even the careful planning and execution of transgressions—but when the pressure of conformity builds within her, her actions scream for just a bit of freedom. Until someone tells her to shush. With deadly results. All episodes arrive at once.
Big Shot: Season 2 – 12th October
Marvyn’s (John Stamos) latest plan toward relevance is to get his team broadcast on ESPN and his method is to recruit an unlikely player: Ava (Sara Echeagaray), a gutsy beach volleyball phenom whose public tantrum got her ousted from her own sport. Between losing their assistant coach Holly Barrett (Jessalyn Gilsig) to a rival school, new friction amongst teammates, a sudden and unexpected proximity to boys, and off-the-court disasters that no one could’ve predicted, this season, the Westbrook Sirens have even more to prove.
Rosaline – 14th October
Rosaline offers a fresh and comedic twist on Shakespeare’s classic love story Romeo & Juliet, told from the perspective of Juliet’s cousin Rosaline, who also happens to be Romeo’s recent love interest. Heartbroken when Romeo meets Juliet and begins to pursue her, Rosaline schemes to foil the famous romance and win back her guy.
The Mysterious Benedict Society: Season 2 – 26th October
Based on the best-selling book series by Trenton Lee Stewart, the family series follows four gifted orphans who are recruited by the eccentric Mr Benedict.
