What’s coming soon to Amazon Prime Video UK in October 2023?

Amazon is booting up another round of its hit comedy Upload this October, which sets the tone for an absurdly eclectic month. The line-up includes everything from a low-key comedy starring Simon Pegg and a star-studded dram featuring Tommy Lee Jones and Jamie Foxx to a documentary about The Wiggles.

After Everything – 3rd October
The fifth and final instalment of the After franchise finds Hardin struggling to move forward. Besieged by writer’s block and the crushing breakup with Tessa, Hardin travels to Portugal in search of a woman he wronged in the past – and to find himself. Hoping to win back Tessa, he realises he needs to change his ways before he can make the ultimate commitment
Make Me Scream – 3rd October
The hilariously horrifying Halloween special features three celebrity teams—led by Jaleel White (Family Matters), Shoniqua Shandai (Harlem), and rapper Lil Xan—that embark on a game where they must face a series of bone-chilling scare zones while trying NOT to scream, in order to survive the night and take home the prestigious Medal of Mayhem.
Totally Killer – 6th October
About 35 years after the shocking murder of three teens, the infamous “Sweet Sixteen Killer“ returns on Halloween night to claim a fourth victim. 17-year-old Jamie (Kiernan Shipka) ignores her overprotective mom’s (Julie Bowen) warning and comes face to face with the masked maniac and on the run for her life, accidentally time travels back to 1987, the year of the original killings.
Desperately Seeking Soulmate: Escaping Twin Flames Universe – 6th October
As journalist Alice Hines looks for a new story, her attention is drawn toward the wacky and weird fringes of internet culture. Her research takes her into love and romance and the controversial world of spiritual communities when she comes across the Twin Flames Universe. Blown away by the level of obsession its members have for founders Jeff and Shaleia Divine, Alice knows she has found her story. Little does she know how wild things are about to get.
Mr Dressup: The Magic of Make-Believe – 10th October
The feature-length documentary celebrates the origins and history of Canada’s favourite children’s show, Mr. Dressup, which built a legacy of kindness, patience, inclusiveness, and creativity in 4,000 episodes across 29 years on CBC in Canada.
Awareness – 11th October
Awareness directed by Daniel Benmayor (Xtremo, Tracers, Bruc) and starring Carlos Scholz (Toy Boy, Feria: La luz más oscura), Pedro Alonso (Money Heist, El ministerio del tiempo), María Pedraza (Toy Boy, Élite), Óscar Jaenada (Operación Marea Negra, Hernán) and Lela Loren (American Gods, Altered Carbon).
The Greatest Show Never Made – 11th October
Set against the backdrop of a new millennium, this series follows six young people attempting to find fame and fortune by being part of the greatest reality TV show ever made. They left jobs, homes and partners, and in June 2002 travelled to south-east London to start their adventure. But the show didn’t exist. Twenty years later, the people caught up in this misadventure are still searching for answers; trying to understand how it changed their lives forever.
Mud, Sweat and Tears: Premiership Rugby – 12th October
The documentary captures a unique season full of sporting highs and gut-punching lows, from the heartbreak of clubs going out of business to the glory of the 2022-23 Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final held at the iconic home of English rugby – Twickenham Stadium. Featuring the likes of England captain Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje, Ben Earl, Lewis Ludlam, Fin Smith, George Ford, Chris Ashton and Gus Warr, the two-part series examines what makes a Premiership Rugby winner – showcasing the incredible super-human talent on the field as well as the jeopardy and drama of elite-level sport away from it.
Everybody Loves Diamonds – 13th October
Italian heist series with a comedic twist inspired by the 2003 “Antwerp Diamond Heist”, dubbed “the world’s largest theft of diamonds” by media around the world. The eight-part series will follow a team of small-time Italian thieves, led by Leonardo Notarbartolo, who manages to deceive top-level security with a genius mastermind plan and steal millions of dollars’ worth of precious stones from the Antwerp Diamond Centre.
The Burial – 13th October
Inspired by true events, when a handshake deal goes sour, funeral homeowner Jeremiah O’Keefe (Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones) enlists charismatic, smooth-talking attorney Willie E. Gary (Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx) to save his family business. Tempers flare and laughter ensues as the unlikely pair bond while exposing corporate corruption and racial injustice in this inspirational, triumphant story.
Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose – 20th October
Writer and director Adam Sigal’s new darkly comic tale is based on true events and finds Pegg as Nandor Fodor – the Hungarian-American psychoanalyst, known as the father of parapsychology — on his search to discover the real Talking Mongoose, “Gef”. Minnie Driver is Fodor’s assistant Anne, who journeys with him into uncharted territory.
Upload: Season 3 – 20th October
In Upload Season 3, we pick back up with Nora and freshly downloaded Nathan as they navigate their relationship, while racing to stop the mysterious conspiracy that threatens to destroy millions of lives. Can they shut down Freeyond, and finally have a real life together? Or is it just a matter of time until Nathan’s head explodes? Meanwhile, in Lakeview, a backup copy of Nathan has been activated and Ingrid’s not about to let this second chance at love slip away. Back in the real world, Aleesha rises through the ranks of Horizen by managing AI education, and falls into a new romantic relationship. And Luke, all alone in Lakeview, is forced to come up with the funds to pay for his stay in paradise, driving him to work in The Grey Zone. Episodes 1 and 2 arrive together, followed by pairs of episodes weekly.
The Other Zoey – 20th October
Zoey Miller, a super smart computer major uninterested in romantic love, has her life thrown upside down when Zach, a popular college soccer player, gets amnesia and mistakes Zoey as his girlfriend. Just before she reveals the truth, she meets Zach’s cousin, Miles, with whom she has a lot in common. Still pretending to be Zach’s girlfriend, she realises she has feelings for both of them and is forced to confront her fears to make an impossible decision.
Silver Dollar Road – 20th October
From Academy-Award Nominee Raoul Peck, Silver Dollar Road follows the story of the Reels family as told by the matriarch Mamie Reels Ellison and her niece Kim Renee Duhon, two fierce and clear-eyed women bending to safeguard valiantly their ancestors’ land and their brothers and uncles Melvin and Licurtis, who were wrongfully imprisoned for eight years – the longest sentence for civil contempt in North Carolina history. This documentary, based on the 2019 ProPublica article, highlights the covert ways the legal system has been exploited to keep Black land ownership fragile and the racial wealth gap growing.
Hot Potato: The Story of the Wiggles – 24th October
The improbable story of The Wiggles, four friends who record a one-off album of children’s music in the early ‘90s and change the global music industry forever. Recognisable by their blue, red, yellow and purple skivvies, Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Greg Page, and Jeff Fatt become an unlikely music phenomenon equipped with early childhood teaching fundamentals and a dose of self-belief. Surmounting numerous rejections from industry producers, The Wiggles take their career into their own hands and become the most successful children’s act of all time.
