As October looms, the nights are drawing in and summer is an increasingly distant memory, but those long, dark evenings are perfect for catching up with some of Sky and NOW’s highlights. Whether it’s a true crime box set, a drag race contest, one of the best TV series of the past decade or a host of Disney favourites, this month is your last chance to stream the following:

Warrior: Season 1 – 26th September
Cinemax drama about a martial arts prodigy who immigrates to San Francisco from China and becomes a hatchet man for the most powerful Tong organisation in Chinatown. Based on an original concept by Bruce Lee.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars: Season 1 to 4 – 30th September
Don’t miss your chance to revel in this spin-off series that sees RuPaul bring back past contestants to compete for a spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.
The Case Against Adnan Syed – 30th September
In 2014, the podcast Serial burst onto the scene and arguably revived interest in true crime documentaries with the gripping account of the murder of Baltimore high school student Hae Min Lee and the subsequent trial and conviction of her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed. Now, Academy Award nominee Amy Berg directs a re-examination of the case with exclusive access to Syed and those involved with the trial, with up to date developments on his ongoing appeal.
The Wire: Season 1 to 5 – 30th September
David Simon’s Emmy® Award-winning drama stars Dominic West (The Affair) as Detective Jimmy McNulty, who along with his fellow investigators attempts to infiltrate a West Baltimore drug ring headed by the elusive Avon Barksdale (Wood Harris) and his lieutenant, Stringer Bell (Idris Elba).

Disney Movies – 26th September
A whole host of Disney movies are departing Sky Cinema this month, from Brother Bear and Cars to WALL-E, in what appears to be a sign that the House of Mouse is reclaiming its films ahead of the launch of subscription service Disney+ – although there is no word yet on an official UK release date for the platform. Sky Cinema still has the rights to a number of Disney movies, however, until the end of this year and into 2020 and 2021.
Professor Marston And The Wonder Women – 29th September
Eyebrow-raising, expertly acted and archly self-aware, this is a complex, kinky and enjoyably provocative drama.
The Exorcist – 30th September
