What’s leaving Sky and NOW TV in April / May 2018?
James R | On 20, Apr 2018
The arrival of May means a Bank Holiday bonanza, with four-day weeks beckoning you to spend more time on the sofa. And there’s good reason to, a number of gems leaving Sky, from Mosaic and Atlanta to the underseen Nathan for You.
Sky Cinema, meanwhile, is waving goodbye to a diverse array of movies, from Wizard of Oz follow-up Oz: The Great and Powerful and all-time classic Some Like It Hot to the bizarre, nasty thrills of The Greasy Strangler.
Not a Sky customer? You can get access to both Sky Box Sets and Sky Cinema through contract-free streaming service NOW, which costs £8.99 a month (for an Entertainment Membership, including Sky 1, Sky Atlantic, SYFY, FOX UK and more), or £9.99 a month for the whole Sky Cinema catalogue.
Whichever you subscribe to, this coming month is your last chance to stream the following:
Movies
Oz: The Great And Powerful – 30th April
An introduction to how exactly a bit of smoke and a projector became a wizard worthy of the suffix ‘Great and Powerful’, Sam Raimi’s Oz follows a lowly, cheap magician (James Franco), who abuses his charisma to keep his paying audience returning.
The Greasy Strangler – 30th April
This seriously deranged black comedy is repulsive, disturbing and worryingly funny.
Some Like It Hot – 30th April
When two musicians accidentally witness the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, they get out of town the only way they know how – dressed as women. Never seen Billy Wilder’s comedy classic? Well, nobody’s perfect.

Bliss: Season 1 – 20th April
A new comedy drama from Arrested Development’s David Cross, starring Stephen Mangan as Andrew, a man with two partners, two families, two lives, and – as we’re sure you can imagine – one heck of a moral crisis. He’s got his Kim (Heather Graham) and his 15-yearold daughter Christina on one side of Bristol, and Denise (Jo Hartley) and their teenage son Kris on the other. Neither knows the other exists, but Andrew’s worlds are about to become very hard to contain and holding on to his sanity isn’t going to be easy either.
Mosaic: Season 1 – 22nd April
Sharon Stone smoulders in Steven Soderbergh’s chilling puzzle box of a crime mystery, as the Basic Instinct star plays a successful author whose dead body is discovered after a New Year’s Eve party.

Drama from the makers of Downton Abbey. Alice, Jocelyn and Verity face trials, tragedies and hardship as three of the first women to arrive in the English colony of Jamestown.

Donald Glover’s Golden Globe winning series is an exciting show that offers something refreshingly evolutionary in the modern TV landscape.

Save Me: Season 1 – No Longer Being Removed!
