What’s leaving Netflix UK in March/April 2025?
David Farnor | On 01, Mar 2025
Before you start bingeing through Netflix’s new originals, don’t miss out on catching up with some other gems before their rights expire and they head to another service, or just disappear into the digital ether.
This is your last chance to stream the following on Netflix UK:
Fall (2022) – 2nd March
This low-key, high-stakes survival thriller is a breathtakingly tense adrenaline ride.
Zombieland – 9th March
A buddy movie with zombies, Zombieland is laugh-out-loud stuff.
Annihilation (2018) – 11th March
This strange, beautiful, cerebral sci-fi cements Alex Garland as one of genre cinema’s finest living practitioners.
Plane (2023) – 11th March
Gerard Butler and Mike Colter are an excellent double-act in this thrilling, grounded actioner.
Gunpowder (2017) – 20th March
Gunpowder is gripping television that crackles with suspense. You won’t be forgetting the 5th of November any time soon.
Arrival – 29th March
Science fiction at its most thoughtful, elegant and moving.
Charlie’s Angels (2019) – 29th March
A hugely entertaining, slightly earnest, wonderfully exuberant blockbuster that slinks and skips its way through the familiar franchise.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) – 29th March
Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig are excellent in David Fincher’s chilling, stylish remake of the Swedish thriller.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind – 31st March
Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet are brilliant in this sci-fi romance about a guy who decides to get his ex-girlfriend erased from his memory – only to change his mind and fight against it. The only couple better suited for one another? Michel Gondry and Charlie Kaufman, whose mind-bending visuals and heartbreaking script belong together.
Punch-Drunk Love – 31st March
Adam Sandler delivers a rare serious turn as introvert Barry, who falls for the kooky friend of one of his sisters (Emily Watson). The result is one of Sandler’s best – and one of Paul Thomas Anderson’s most memorable films too. And not just because of the puddings and mattresses.
Smile – 8th April
This inventively simple horror movie is so rivetingly scary you can’t look away.
Drive – 9th April
Ryan Gosling is iconic in Nicolas Winding Refn’s cool, compelling genre mixtape.
