Freevee, Amazon’s ad-supported free streaming service, has had a rebrand. The platform, formerly known as IMDb TV, is part of the Amazon Prime Video app, and provides films and TV shows for free, but with adverts.

It requires an Amazon account to use, but does not require any payment, memberships or subscription. It does not include everything that would normally be included with an Amazon Prime subscription, but there are some titles that are also available part of an Amazon Prime subscription, so that viewers can pay should they want to watch with no adverts. Each month, Amazon will be adding titles to the Amazon Freevee library, from third party acquisitions to exclusive originals. This month that includes Amazon Originals that were previously only available with Amazon Prime, including Homecoming and Hanna.

Here’s what’s coming soon in September 2023:

Whiplash – 1st September

Crash, bang, wallop. What a video.

Son of Rambow – 1st September

Cheerful, cute and charming. Son of Rambow is the sequel that Stallone would never make.

Vivarium – 2nd September

Lorcan Finnegan’s haunting domestic nightmare finds sci-fi angst at the bottom of suburban life.

Master Gardener – 6th September

Joel Edgerton and Sigourney Weaver star in Paul Schrader’s drama about a horticulturist devoted to tending the grounds of a beautiful estate and pandering to his employer, the wealthy dowager.

Neighbours: A New Chapter – 18th September

Amazon Freevee continues the long-running series—about the lives, loves, and challenges of the residents on Ramsay Street in Erinsborough, Australia – a fictional suburb of Melbourne — will pick up two years after the finale in 2022, which was watched by millions of adoring fans. The series will premiere on 18th September, with episodes arriving daily from Monday to Thursday at 7am.

Scream 2 – 27th September

Witty and scary in equal measure, this self-aware sequel has its cake and eats it. Scream 3 arrives on the same day.
