Tina Fey and Steve Carell are checking in to the The Four Seasons this May and a new trailer gives us a first look at the Netflix comedy.
Basedo on Alan Alda’s 1981 rom-com of the same name, the series is created by Fey and fellow 30 Rock-ers Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield. The eight-part series follows three couples over four vacations – with a lot to unpack.
It charts the lives of long-time friends through the ups and downs of four seasonal trips (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter). As the six old friends heading out for a relaxing weekend away, they learn that one of the couples is about to split up.
“I hope audiences feel like they are inside a big sweater with us, and also having a dinner party with us, and I hope that any of the joy and warmth that we all feel for each other all transfers to them, and that we are a comfort and provide some laughs for them in their home,” says Fey.
The cast includes Tina Fey and Will Forte as Kate and Jack, Steve Carell and Kerry Kenney-Silver as Nick and Anne, Colman Domingo and Marco Calvani as Danny and Claude, and Erika Henningsen (Girls4Eva).
You can see them in action on 1st May, when the series premieres on Netflix. Here’s the trailer:
