Trailer: The Loud House Movie heads to Netflix

The Loud House is heading to Netflix this August for a special feature-length outing.
The animated series, produced by Nickelodeon, first premiered in 2016 and has already run for five seasons. Last year, a sixth season was greenlit, comprising 26 more episodes. Before then, though, an animated feature film is heading to our screens, courtesy of Netflix.
The film, which was once set for a cinema release before the coronavirus pandemic changed Paramount’s plans, is part of a deal between parent company Viacom and Netflix, which also includes a movie based on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The two companies are far from strangers, with Viacom already producing Pinky Malinky and Avatar: The Last Airbender for the streamer. Nickelodeon, meanwhile, is already expanding on The Loud House’s success, with a new spin-off series on the way to the channel, called The Casagrandes.
The Loud House Movie joins the Louds as they head to Scotland, where they discover that they are descendants of Scottish royalty. The family quickly indulges in the most wish-fulfilling high-life ever when they discover their ancestral home is a castle. Expect, bagpipes, kilts and a dragon when the film premieres on 20th August.

The Loud House Movie is available on Netflix UK, as part of an £9.99 monthly subscription.
