Trailer: Sundance’s Tallulah heads to Netflix this summer

Netflix has finally released a trailer for Tallulah, the indie drama it acquired at Sundance this year.
The film, which stars Elliot Page and Allison Janney, follows a young drifter (Page) who is searching for her ex-boyfriend. After coming across a neglectful mother, though, she impulsively kidnaps a baby and pretends the child is her own.
That decision connects her to Margot (Janney), the mum of Tallulah’s boyfriend. Is she right to take the child? The film is written and directed by Sian Heder, who has previously been part of the Orange Is the New Black writing team. Expertly pushing and pulling our sympathies, the drama is engaging, moving and brilliantly performed.
The film is released on Netflix worldwide on Friday 29th July. We’ll have a full review – and more – for you in the coming weeks, but until then, read on for the trailer.
