Tom Riley will star opposite Kristen Bell in Netflix’s The Women in the House.
The English actor, who starred in ITV’s Dark Heart and played Leonardo Da Vinci in Da Vinci’s Demons, will be the co-lead of the series, opposite the Veronica Mars and The Good Place star.
Bell plays Anna, who is living a repetitive heartbroken life, drinking wine, staring out the window and watching the world go by. But when a handsome neighbour moves in across the street, Anna starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel. That is until she witnesses a gruesome murder. Or did she?
Riley will play the neighbour, a charming single dad who seems too good to be true. Riley, who will shortly be seen in Sky Atlantic’s The Nevers, is no stranger to streaming, having also starred in Amazon’s fashion drama The Collection.
Bell will also exec produce the series, with Rachel Ramras, Hugh Davidson and Larry Dorf (Mike Tyson Mysteries, Nobodies) serving as co-showrunners. Also exec-producing for Gloria Sanchez Productions will be Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum and Brittney Segal. Marti Noxon will serve as a creative consultant.
