The trailer for House of Cards Season 2 is here – and it’s mouth-wateringly ruthless.

Based on the BBC show of the same name, the Netflix remake House of Cards made huge waves this year when it was released by the Internet TV company. The first original series produced by Media Rights Capital for Netflix received enormous critical acclaim, becoming the first ever web series to earn Emmy nominations – let alone win three of them.

Season 2 of House of Cards is released on Netflix UK on Valentine’s Day 2014. The season will follow Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey), who has masterfully manoeuvred his way into the Vice Presidency, but his ascension faces threats on all fronts…

Investigative reporter Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara), meanwhile, is inching closer to the truth about Frank and Peter Russo (Corey Stoll) and will stop at nothing to break the story.

And Frank’s wife Claire (Robin Wright), the newly appointed Second Lady, must deal with the bright glare of the spotlight and how the intense scrutiny eats away at their once private existence.
