Tales of Arcadia to conclude with Trollhunters film

The Tales of Arcadia saga will conclude with a final Trollhunters film, Netflix has announced.
The DreamWorks saga, created by Guillermo del Toro began several years ago with Trollhunters, a charming adventure about a boy (Anton Yelchin, later Emile Hirsch) who found a hidden world beneath his home town of Arcadia and wound up locked in a troll battle over the future of humankind.
The story continued with 3Below, based in the same world – the same town, even – and focusing on two characters who first appeared in Season 3 of Trollhunters: Princess Aja and her brother, Prince Krel, voiced by Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany and Diego Luna. Two students who unwittingly came to the aid of the Trollhunters as they fought Morgana, they then became the leads themselves.
With their home planet torn apart by Civil War, the Princess and Prince found themselves marooned on the most backwater, primitive world in the galaxy: Earth. The three took on human guises to conceal their alien form as they searched for a safe passage back to their home planet, but while searching, they developed a real affection for Earth and its inhabitants.
This weekend, the animated epic reached what was originally conceived as the final entry in a TV trilogy: Wizards, which brings together characters from Trollhunters and 3Below and weaves in medieval Camelot mythology. Now, DreamWorks and Netflix has confirmed that the saga will have one final outing to wrap up all the loose ends: a film called Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans.
The Netflix original film will be released in 2021.
