Queen Latifah to star in Netflix’s End of the Road

Queen Latifah is heading to Netflix for new thriller End of the Road.
Written by David Loughery (The Intruder, Obsessed), the film is based on an original screenplay by Christopher Moore. It follows recently widowed Brenda, who decides to start a new life after losing her job. Driving her family cross-country, the family ends up the target of a mysterious killer in the New Mexico desert. Cut off from help, they must learn to fight back.
It will be directed by Millicent Shelton, who began her career as a New York City Music Video Director before transitioning into TV with an array of comedies and dramas, including Insecure, Hunters, The Walking Dead, Titans, Black-ish and the pilot of the upcoming STARZ comedy Run The World.
Latifah will exec-produce, alongside Shakim Compere for Flavor Unit Entertainment. Producing are Tracey Edmonds for Edmonds Entertainment (Soul Food, Jumping the Broom), Mark Burg for Twisted Pictures (Saw, John Q, Spiral) and Brad Kaplan (The Intruder).
