Trailer: Anna Kendrick stars in Netflix’s Stowaway

Anna Kendrick is headed to Netflix next month in new sci-fi thriller Stowaway, and a new trailer gives us a look at the survival drama.
On a mission headed to Mars, an unintended stowaway accidentally causes severe damage to the spaceship’s life support systems. Facing dwindling resources and a potentially fatal outcome, the crew is forced to make an impossible decision. Kendrick’s medical researcher, Zoe, emerges as the only dissenting voice against the clinical logic of both her commander and the ship’s biologist.
Directed by Joe Penna and co-written by Penn and Ryan Morrison, the film co-stars Daniel Dae Kim, Shamier Anderson and Toni Collette. You can see them in action on 22nd April when the film touches down on Netflix.

Stowaway: Netflix nabs rights to Anna Kendrick sci-fi thriller

Netflix has nabbed the nights to Stowaway, a new sci-fi thriller starring Anna Kendrick.
The film is the second feature from Penna and Morrison, the duo behind the Cannes Official Selection Arctic. Directed by Joe Penna and co-written by Penn and Ryan Morrison, the film follows a mission to Mars, during which an unintended stowaway accidentally causes severe damage to the spaceship’s life support systems.
Facing dwindling resources and a potentially grim outcome, a medical researcher emerges as the only dissenting voice against the clinical logic of both her commander and the ship’s biologist.
Fresh from Disney+ Christmas film Noelle, Kendrick will lead a cast that includes Toni Collette (Hereditary), Daniel Dae Kim (Always Be My Maybe) and Shamier Anderson (Race, Destroyer).
The film was shot entirely in Germany at Bavaria Studios in Munich and at MMC Studios in Cologne, with VFX handled by RISE | Visual Effects Studios.
Netflix will release the film in the UK, US, Australia/New Zealand, India, Latin America, Africa, and select other countries in Asia and Europe.
