Sky Kids has launched a new Back to School collection to help kids navigate the start of the new academic year.
The curated line-up runs until 8th September on Sky Q, Sky + and the Sky Kids app and brings together kids’ favourite characters in episodes themed around friendship, togetherness, teamwork and education.
There’s a range of shows to appeal to children aged from 5-12. For older kids, The Amazing World of Gumball, The Thundermans and The Athena will help them learn about navigating friendships, Morph’s hilarious back to school adventure will get them laughing through the first day nerves, while FYI: For Your Info will be on hand for some entertaining education.
For younger kids, it’s about creating a comforting opportunity to watch with parents after those first long days at school, with shows that both children and adults can enjoy, such as Moominvalley, The Gruffalo and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.
Lucy Murphy, Head of Kids Content, Sky comments: “TV can be a powerful source of comfort, education and entertainment. This is why we’ve curated the Back to School collection on Sky Kids., letting children join their favourite characters in hand-picked episodes designed to help them feel a little more comfortable, better prepared and excited about the term ahead.”
Sky is committed to creating safe and fun way for families to watch and stream TV. Kid Safe Mode on Sky Q keeps your box locked in the kids’ section, so they can’t accidentally watch things they shouldn’t, while parental controls on the Sky Kids app lets parents manage screen time through time limits, apply age filters and put the app to sleep.
Sky has also recently launched the Parents’ Guide, a new movie rating system on Sky Q that’s designed to help families make more informed choices about the films they watch.
