Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat: Netflix whips up trailer for new cooking series

Netflix is going back to the basics of cooking with its latest food series: Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat.
Based on Samin Nosrat’s best-selling, James Beard Award-winning book, the series promises to be an essential guide to good cooking’s essential elements. Directed by Caroline Suh, each episode of the four-part series joins spirited guide Samin as she travels to home kitchens of Italy, the southern islands of Japan, the heat of the Yucatán and back to Berkeley’s Chez Panisse – where she started her culinary career – to demystify and explore the central principles of what makes food delicious and how each of us can easily incorporate those elements into every dish.
Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat is produced by Jigsaw Productions, the creators of Cooked. It was announced by Netflix earlier this year, alongside another series, The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell. Both arrive on Netflix this October, joining the recently released Season 5 of Chef’s Table. (For a full guide to what’s coming soon to Netflix in October, click here.)
Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat is served up by Netflix on Thursday 11th October. Here’s a trailer:
