Ronnie Scotts to live-stream London Jazz Festival for free
James R | On 11, Nov 2016
Ronnie Scotts will be live-streaming the London Jazz Festival this year.
Now in its 24th year, the EFG London Jazz Festival runs from Friday 11th and Sunday 20th November 2016, bringing talent from around the world to venues across the capital. Brad Mehldau and Joshua Redman are performing in the UK together for the first time at the Barbican, the Jan Garbarek Group featuring Trilok Gurtu is at the Royal Festival Hall and Lizz Wright is singing at the Cadogan Hall.
Ronnie Scotts, meanwhile, has its own impressive line-up, kicking off with Kurt Elling on Friday 11th November. With almost all of its festival acts sold out, the legendary jazz club will be opening its doors to the web, allowing jazz fans to watch each concert for free online.
Kurt Elling will begin the streaming line-up on Friday, with acts continuing throughout the coming week, from guitarist Dean Brown and singer Bettye LaVette to saxophonist Marcus Strickland..
You can stream each act live on the Ronnie Scotts website and on their Facebook page. The full live-streaming schedule is below. For more information, head to www.ronniescotts.co.uk, or for more on the festival, head to the official site here.
