NextUp is spending the summer in America, with a whole host of US comics lined up to stream.
The subscription service, which is dedicated to stand-up comedy, has built up a reputation for supporting up-and-coming comedians, particularly British talent. But this summer, as well as heading to Edinburgh Fringe to film new shows, the site is also beefing up its slate from across the Atlantic.
Lavell Crawford, Finesse Mitchell,
Michael Yo, Doug Stanhope, Erik Griffin, Jimmy JJ Walker and Michael Winslow will all be available to stream over July and August, bringing seven new shows fresh from America.
Sarah Henley, NextUp co-founder, says: “It’s fantastic to have such a diverse breadth of talent on the platform. We’re always looking to add comics from different backgrounds to our catalogue and we’re thrilled to have such a wealth of US comics join NextUp over the summer.”
