How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast) is returning to Netflix for Season 2 this July.
Written by Philipp Käßbohrer, Sebastian Colley and Stefan Titze, the comedy follows a high school student determined to win back the love of his life. So he and his best friend do the only thing they can think of: launch Europe’s largest online drug business from a teenage bedroom.
Season 1 debuted last year and has gone on to become the most-watched German Netflix original series in Germany. Now, it’s coming back for a second run, with another six episodes of 30 minutes.
Käßbohrer and Matthias Murmann remain the showrunners, with lead actors Maximilian Mundt (Moritz Zimmermann), Danilo Kamperidis (Lenny), Damian Hardung (Dan) and Lena Klenke (Lisa) all reprising their roles. They’re joined by newcomer Lena Urzendowsky, who plays computer genius Kira.
After a bumpy start into their business, Season 2 sees Moritz and the MyDrugs crew ramp up their hustle, as the online drug shop gets more successful – and even more dangerous. Escobar said, “All empires are built of blood and fire.” But, well, he didn’t have to do it while finishing high school.
Season 2 premieres on 21st July.
How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast) is available on Netflix UK, as part of an £9.99 monthly subscription.

Trailer: Netflix reveals How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)
9th April 2019
This May, Netflix will reveal How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast) with a new series based on the true story of the world’s unlikeliest drug dealer.
Written by Philipp Käßbohrer, Sebastian Colley and Stefan Titze, it follows a student, Moritz Zimmermann, determined to win back the love of his life. So he and his best friend do the only thing they can think of: launch Europe’s largest online drug business from a teenage bedroom.
If you’re selling huge quantities of drugs on the internet, the first trailer for the show tells us, there’s one thing you should never do. Tell complete strangers…. Unless Netflix calls and wants to make a series about your life.
The six-part series is “a great trip for anyone who isn’t brave enough to risk actually taking drugs”, its creators told Variety in a recent interview. “The style of the show reflects the audiovisual diversity you’re confronted with today when using the Internet and social media. Trust me, there are places in the worldwide web where people have been waiting a long time for Jonathan Frakes to explain Darknet to them.”
“The whole show is about entertaining the kids, while frightening the parents. You know, we’re the first generation to have done things on the Internet as teenagers that our parents had no idea about,” they add. “Nowadays, parents are more afraid that their kids will find porn or violence on the Internet. We’re showing them that in reality everything is much worse and more dangerous than that. Nowadays, young people can do things on the Internet that destroy their whole lives: like becoming a drug lord. Or even worse, a YouTube star.”
The series, originally titled Don’t Try This at Home, launches on Netflix with its SEO-friendly title on 31st May. Here’s the video:
Netflix wraps up Don’t Try This at Home
19th December 2018
Filming has wrapped on Don’t Try This at Home, Netflix’s new German original series.
Written by Philipp Käßbohrer, Sebastian Colley and Stefan Titze, it follows a high school student determined to win back the love of his life. So he and his best friend do the only thing they can think of: launch Europe’s largest online drug business from a teenage bedroom.
The series is one of several German projects announced this year, as the streaming giant builds on the success of its first German series Dark, which is one of the most-watched entirely non-English shows on Netflix, with a fandom in countries as wide-ranging as Chile, Bangladesh and Canada – for every hour that has been watched in Germany, nine hours have been watched internationally. Other German projects already in production including Dark Season 2, Dogs of Berlin and The Wave, with five more commissioned this year, from epic tales of the past and future to contemporary crime dramas and compelling family sagas.
This six-part coming-of-age comedy is inspired by true events. It is directed by Lars Montag and Arne Feldhusen and produced by BTF Productions (Matthias Murmann and Phillip Käßbohrer). It’s lead actors are Maximilian Mundt, Lena Klenke, Danilo Kamperidis, Damian Hardung, Luna Schaller and Bjarne Mädel.
On the occasion of today’s wrap on new Netflix Original Series Don’t Try This at Home, BTF and Netflix have released a first look behind the scenes (see above).
The series will launch on Netflix in 2019.
