Breaking Bad’s Dean Norris is the latest star name to join the line-up for Netflix thriller Carry-On.
The film, which has now got a hyphen in its title to avoid confusion with the old series of British movies, follows Ethan Kopek, a young TSA agent who gets blackmailed by a mysterious traveler to let a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Day flight.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, with a script by TJ Fixman plus additional writing by Michael Green, the film has assembled an impressive ensemble in front of the camera. Egerton (Rocketman, Black Bird) leads a cast including Jason Bateman, Sofia Carson, Danielle Deadwyler and Theo Rossi.
Joining them will be Norris, Logan Marshall Green (Lou, Redeeming Love ), Sinqua Walls (White Men Can’t Jump, Nanny) and Tonatiuh (Angelyne, Promised Land). Joe Williamson (Black Bird, Ford v Ferrari), Curtiss Cook (West Side Story, The Devil You Know), Josh Brener (Silicon Valley, All My Life) and Gil Perez-Abraham (The Batman, Our Son) round out the cast.
Carry-On is the first film to be produced as part of Netflix’s partnership with Amblin Partners. The film begins production this week.
