You know how it goes. You decide to have a night off from parenting. You hire a babysitter. She turns out to be part of a satanic cult.
That’s how it goes in The Babysitter, the film from McG. Written by Brian Duffield (Jane Got a Gun), the Netflix original isn’t afraid to dial up the blood, gore and humour, with the new trailer splattering innards all over young 12-year-old Cole’s living room like, well, a babysitter that’s in league with the devil himself.
The film follows Cole as he falls in love with his hot babysitter only to discover that her cult wants to kill him – and that they’ll stop at nothing to keep him quiet. The film stars Bella Thorne, Robbie Amell, Samara Weaving, Andrew Bachelor, Hana Mae Lee, and Judah Lewis. McG and Mary Viola are producers, with David Boies, Zack Schiller, Steven Bello, Duffield, and James McGough serving as exec producers.
The film premieres worldwide, fittingly, on Friday 13th October. Here’s the trailer – or, for more on what’s coming soon to Netflix in October, click here.
