Netflix renews Get Organized and Dream Home Makeover for new seasons

Netflix is getting even more organised for even more dream home makeovers with new seasons of its lifestyle reality series.
“Like so many of our members, the 2019 premiere of Tidying Up inspired me to “spark joy” and declutter my home,” says Brandon Riegg, VP of Unscripted and Documentary Series. “When I went to Goodwill to donate several bags of clothing (that I had lovingly “thanked”), the employee asked me, “Did you watch that Marie Kondo show on Netflix?” She excitedly informed me about the surge in donations following the show’s debut. For me personally, it was gratifying to see the widespread positive impact of Marie’s methods, and the series in general.”
Since then, Netflix has doubled down on that show’s popularity with further lifestyle programmes, including Get Organized with The Home Edit and Dream Home Makeover. Now, it’s renewed them both for additional episodes.
Get Organized with The Home Edit will return for a second season. Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, the bestselling authors behind the home organisation company The Home Edit, will return to conquer clutter with their brand of interior styling, practicality and humour, dramatically transforming the lives of their clients. This season, viewers will take a closer look into Clea and Joanna’s business – featuring bigger organisation projects, along with several celebrities surprising deserving friends and family members with makeovers.
Executive Producers include Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, Hello Sunshine’s Reese Witherspoon, Sara Rea and Sue Kinkead; Critical Content’s Tom Forman, Jenny Daly, and Jon Beyer, and Molly Sims. Omid Kahangi serves as showrunner.
Dream Home Makeover has been renewed for a third season. It follows the lives of Syd and Shea McGee as they run their successful home design business and raise their two daughters (and one baby on the way). Episodes feature design projects that range from one-room designs to full home builds and renovations, applying the same set of principles to every project, creating interiors that are unfussy, accessible, and breathtakingly simple at any level of the budget ladder.
Executive Producers include Rich Bye, Shea McGee and Syd McGee, with Goodbye Pictures producing.
The commissions come after Netflix debuted its new series Marriage or Mortgage, in which couples decide between planning a wedding or buying and designing their dream home, and as Netflix confirms that new series Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo will arrive in the summer.
