The Netflix Original Documentary series from James Beard Award-Winning Chef David Chang and Academy Award-Winner Morgan Neville sees chef David Chang tour the globe. The aim is to discover different cultures, cuisines and cooks – and then find a way to mash them together. Directed by 20 Feet from Stardom’s Morgan Neville, the series follows the founder of Momofoku, dishing up hot topics, spicy laughs and a huge portion of mouth-watering images.
Special guests on the menu for round two include Nick Kroll, Aziz Ansari, Padma Lakshmi, food writers Helen Rosner and Chris Ying, Danny McBride, Bill Simmons, and Dave Choe.
You can see them all tucking into mouth-watering dishes on 6th March, when Season 2 premieres on Netflix. Here’s the trailer:
Netflix orders second helping of Ugly Delicious
24th November 2018
Netflix has ordered a second helping of Ugly Delicious.
The food series, which premiered earlier this year, sees chef David Chang tour the globe. Each of Season 1’s eight episodes covered a particular food, from pizza and dumplings to fried chicken, with guests along the way including chef Nina Compton, TV host Jimmy Kimmel and actor Steve Yuen.
We praised the show in our review for Chang’s anti-elitist attitude, hailing the documentary as “accessible and entertaining for both hardcore foodies and those who would baulk at the term”.
