MUBI will be released The Other Lamb this October, both in cinemas and online.

The curated streaming service is no stranger to theatrical distribution, even offering free cinema tickets each week to subscribers of its MUBI Go package. With cinemas reopening across the UK and Ireland, MUBI is not waiting about to get back in the big screen game, with The Other Land lined up to screen in select cinemas.

The English-language debut of director Malgorzata Szumowska (Elles), the film is a haunting folk horror about an all-female cult deep in the words presided over by a single man. Selah, a devoted young believer on the brink of maturity, finds her faith tested when dark visions begin to reveal the fates awaiting the women as they age.

Starring Raffey Cassidy (Vox Lux) and Michiel Huisman (Game of Thrones), the film received its world premiere at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and its UK Premiere at the BFI London Film Festival. With Szumowska’s newest, Never Gonna Snow Again, premiering at the Venice Film Festival this September, MUBI is giving UK audiences a chance to catch up with The Other Lamb. The film will be released exclusively on MUBI as well as in cinemas on 16th October, followed by a DVD release on 26th October.
