MUBI will launch on EE TV in September.
All EE TV customers will be able to enjoy the selection of art house, world cinema and indie films that arrives on the subscription VOD service. The platform adds a new title every day, with each film available to watch for 30 days, resulting in a constant carousel of curated cinema.
Titles that will be available from September onwards include Greg Mottola’s comedy Superbad, R.J Cutler’s fashion insider The September issue, Ryan Fleck’s Half Nelson and Duncan Jones’ Moon and Sofia Coppola’s Lost in Translation.
“We are really excited to be able to expand MUBI to such a wide audience as the EE TV community. We are looking forward to offering EE customers a variety of the best films, from multi award-wining movies to action blockbusters, classic renown gems or incredible comedies,” says Efe Cakarel, Founder and CEO of MUBI.
The new partnership marks the latest in a string of big deals for MUBI. In July, the platform agreed its first theatrical deal to co-distribute Cannes hit Arabian Nights in the UK alongside New Wave Films, and also signed a multi-year deal with Sony to secure its library of films for the site.
