Marco Polo Season 2 trailer arrives

The first trailer for Marco Polo Season 2 has landed online.
The Netflix original series is based on the famed explorer’s adventures in Kublai Khan’s court in 13th Century China, and the dark and tempestuous battle for the expanding Mongol empire.
John Fusco remains executive producer and showrunner, along with Dan Minahan.
The battle for the Mongol empire will ignite on Friday 1st July, when all 10 episodes of the second season are released.

Netflix will be relying upon Marco Polo to provide this summer’s blockbusting entertainment, as the show returns for a second season.
Season 2 of the epic action adventure will premiere globally on Friday 1st July, Netflix has revealed.
The 10-episode season, created by John Fusco, will continue the tale of the explorer’s time in Kublai Khan’s court in 13th Century China – a world replete with greed, betrayal, sexual intrigue and rivalry.
Lorenzo Richelmy will reprise his starring role as Marco Polo, accompanied by Michelle Yeoh (the Handmaiden), Benedict Wong (Kublai Khan), Joan Chen (Empress Chabi), Zhu Zhu (Kokachin), Tom Wu (Hundred Eyes), Olivia Cheng (Mei Lin), Claudia Kim (Khutulun), Rick Yune (Kaidu), Remy Hii (Prince Jingim), Mahesh Jadu (Ahmad) and Uli Latukefu (Byamba) among others.
Fusco, who wrote the Academy-Award nominated feature Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron is executive producer and showrunner of Marco Polo, along with Dan Minahan, whose previous work includes Homeland and Game of Thrones, with Patrick Macmanus, Harvey Weinstein, Bob Weinstein and Elizabeth Sarnoff as executive producers.
