Another Life will be back on Netflix for a second season – and a new clip gives us a first look at the show’s return.
The sci-fi series, starring Katee Sackhoff, follows Commander Niko Breckinridge, who leads humanity’s first interstellar mission when a mysterious alien artefact lands on Earth. Tracking down its planet of origin, while her husband (Justin Chatwin) tries to make first contact with the artefact back on earth, the series explores the miracle of life, how precious life is in a universe mostly empty of it, and the lengths we will go to protect the ones we love. (Read our review of Season 1 here.)
Created by Aaron Martin (Slasher, Saving Hope, Degrassi: The Next Generation), the show premiered in summer 2019, eventually being picked up for a second season later that year. While other shows have suffered a surprise cancellation due to the coronavirus pandemic, Netflix has now confirmed that Another Life will still be back on our screens, with Season 2 set to debut on 14th October.
A new clip reintroduces us to Niko as she prepares to leave the ship for another vessel. The video was unveiled by Sackhoff as part of Netflix’s online fan event, Geeked Week. Here it is:
