The Con is back on this weekend, as Imposters returns to Virgin TV for a highly anticipated second season.
Snapped up as a UK exclusive by Virgin, the series follows Maddie (Inbar Lavi), the ultimate persona shifting con-artist, and the “Bumblers” – a trio of her recent, heart-broken victims: Ezra (Rob Heaps), Richard (Parker Young) and Jules (Marianne Rendón). Season 1 saw the Bumblers join forces in hopes of tracking Maddie down, becoming embroiled in a thrilling game of cat and mouse, before eventually teaming up with Maddie to pull off the ultimate con. The adventure continues this season with Maddie determined to reclaim her life after she and the Bumblers escape her former cohort Max (Brian Benben) and FBI Agent Patrick (Stephen Bishop). But in her attempts to settle into a new normal, Maddie quickly realizes that living in the game was not nearly as difficult as leaving it. Just as Ezra, Richard and Jules begin to master the art of the con, unforeseen events send them off on a wild, unexpected adventure. Meanwhile, Max – along with “The Doctor” (Ray Proscia) – and Patrick are out to seek revenge. With the stakes higher than ever, Maddie and the Bumblers must stay one step ahead to maintain their freedom.
Uma Thurman will also return as lethal fixer Lenny, while her former husband, Shelley (Paul Adelstein), will also appear to cause trouble for Maddie and the Bumblers.
Season 2 comprises 10 45-minute episodes, with the first launching on Virgin TV On Demand on Friday 6th April. A new episode will be released every Friday evening thereafter to run in parallel with the US broadcast.
Imposters Season 2 will be available to Virgin TV customers with the Full House package. Along with all Virgin TV Exclusives it will be available On Demand through the Virgin TV V6 or TiVo boxes as well as on mobile devices through the Virgin TV Anywhere app. It joins a growing collection of Virgin TV Exclusives which are first run, addictive and highly acclaimed shows not available anywhere else in the UK. Top titles in Virgin’s on-demand line-up collection include Kingdom, Ash vs Evil Dead and Good Behavior. New and established Imposters fans can catch up on Season 1 by selecting On “Demand”, then “Box Sets” on Virgin TV.
David Bouchier, Chief Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media, says: “First-class writing, an ambitious plot line and a brilliant lead performance from Inbar Lavi, has proved to be a magical combination. The return of Imposters is a welcome reward for the show’s loyal and growing fan base. The second series storyline promises not to disappoint with action, intrigue and surprises like never before.”
