Yesterday, BBC Three became the first online TV channel from a major UK broadcaster – and the Beeb is wasting no time in highlighting the array of programmes that are on the way.
One of the main flagship launch shows is Thirteen, which will premiere online on 28th February. Written by Marnie Dickens and starring Jodie Comer and Aneurin Barnard, the drama follows Ivy Moxham, who escapes the cellar that’s been her prison for the last 13 years.
“Working on BBC Three meant one thing. Freedom. To tell the story the way we wanted to tell it,” says Marnie Dickens.
“Launching as an online drama allowed us to create a parallel interactive story that takes the audience deeper into the world of Thirteen.”
Indeed, the online drama will also have a parallel interactive story, Find the Girl, which will take the audience deeper into the world of Thirteen by interweaving a character that exists wholly online.
Now, we have our first glimpse of what to expect from the show. Read on for the trailer – or, for a full guide to what’s coming soon on BBC Three, head this way.
