The first official photos and concept artwork from the Marvel and Netflix Daredevil TV series have been released.
Marvel’s first original series on Netflix is the start of a string of superhero mini-series, which are designed to build towards a big crossover event. The series follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.
Charlie Cox stars as Matt. Along with the first picture of him in his lawyer garb, Marvel has also released a photo of Matt in his first Daredevil costume – inspired by Frank Miller and John Romita Jr.’s seminal Man Without Fear comic book series.
The show is Executive Produced by series showrunner Steven S. DeKnight (Buffy: The Vampire Slayer) and Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods), who has also written the first two episodes of Marvel’s Daredevil, along with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Heroes).
