“Why was it so hard to ask if he could do me a jacket potato?” That’s the sound of Sean Bean and Nicola Walker teaming up for BBC One’s Marriage – and a new trailer gives us a look at the couple in action.
Written and directed by Stefan Golaszewski (Him & Her, Mum), the drama sees married couple Ian (Sean Bean) and Emma (Nicola Walker) negotiate the ups and downs of their 30-year marriage. We see them dealing with the insecurities, the ambiguities, the hopes and the fears that are part of all marriages, as the drama explores the risks and the gifts of a long-term intimate relationship.
The four-part series co-stars James Bolam (New Tricks, The Likely Lads) as Gerry, Emma’s father, Henry Lloyd-Hughes (The Inbetweeners, Ragdoll) as Jamie, Emma’s boss, and Chantelle Alle (We Are Lady Parts, Mood) as Jessica, Ian and Emma’s daughter. You can see them in action when Marriage premieres on BBC One on Sunday 14th August. Here’s the trailer:
