“You are the classic everyman…” That’s the sound of Frasier returning to our screens this autumn, and a new trailer gives us a proper look at the Dr back behind the mic.

Filmed in front of a live studio audience at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, the new series follows Frasier Crane (Grammer) in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to finally fulfill.

Frasier is written by Chris Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Joe Cristalli (Life in Pieces), who executive produce with Kelsey Grammer, Tom Russo and Jordan McMahon. It stars Jack Cutmore-Scott as Frasier’s son, Freddy, Toks Olagundoye as Olivia, Alan’s colleague and head of the university’s psychology department, Jess Salgueiro as Freddy’s roommate, Eve, and Anders Keith as Frasier’s nephew, David. Joining them also is Nicholas Lyndhurst as Frasier’s old college buddy turned university professor, Alan, and it’s the chemistry between them – and between Frasier and Freddy – that the new trailer gives us a real taste of.

The series premieres on Friday 13th October, with two episodes arriving together on Paramount+ – followed by new episodes weekly on Fridays.

First look: Frasier returns on Paramount+ this October

Frasier has re-entered the building. Yes, Kelsey Grammer is stepping back into his radio therapist’s shoes for a revival of Frasier on Paramount+.

Filmed in front of a live studio audience at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, the new series follows Frasier Crane (Grammer) in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to finally fulfill.

Frasier is written by Chris Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Joe Cristalli (Life in Pieces), who executive produce with Kelsey Grammer, Tom Russo and Jordan McMahon. The first two episodes of the new series are directed by James Burrows, who is best known for his work as co-creator, executive producer and director of Cheers, as well as the original Frasier, Will & Grace and Dear John.

In addition to Grammer, the series stars Jack Cutmore-Scott as Frasier’s son, Freddy, Nicholas Lyndhurst as Frasier’s old college buddy turned university professor, Alan, Toks Olagundoye as Olivia, Alan’s colleague and head of the university’s psychology department, Jess Salgueiro as Freddy’s roommate, Eve, and Anders Keith as Frasier’s nephew, David.

You can see them in action on Friday 13th October, when the 10-episode season will premiere in the UK with two episodes arriving together on Paramount+ – followed by new episodes weekly on Fridays.
