Disney+ is celebrating its second anniversary with a special subscription offer of £1.99 a month.
Disney’s subscription service first launched on 12th November in 2019, before arriving on UK shores in March 2020. Now, it’s declaring that two-year anniversary as “Disney+ Day”, launching a wave of new titles and announcements. Already this week, the House of Mouse has revealed that it will launch a new IMAX Expanded Aspect Ratio for 13 Marvel films, going live on Friday.
Now, to well and truly get people’s attention, Disney is offering a limited offer of £1.99 for a one-month trial. The offer is available for new and eligible returning subscribers and is a discount from the usual price of £7.99 a month – those who don’t cancel after that one-month trial will have their subscriptions renewed at the usual price. The offer is available until 14th November.
The offer arrives as Disney+ prepares to release a range of previously announced premieres on Friday 12th November, including Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, Jungle Cruise, Home Sweet Home Alone, Olaf Presents, Frozen Fever, Paperman, The Ballad of Nessie, Feast, Get a Horse!, The Little Matchgirl, Tick Tock Tale, Tangled Ever After, Ciao Alberto, The Simpsons in Plusaversary, The World According to Jeff Goldblum Season 2, Under the Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett, Marvel Studios’ 2021 Disney+ Day Special, Entrelazados, and Dopesick.
Now, Disney has also announced some additional titles launching on Friday: a new documentary titled The Making of Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles about Billie Eilish’s recent Disney+ cinematic concert experience; Marvel Assembled: The Making of Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings; Marvel Studios Legends: Hawkeye, an episode that revisits all of Hawkeye’s moments from the MCU; 2007’s Enchanted; te recent Disney Channel Original Movie Spin where Rhea, an Indian American teen, discovers her passion for creating DJ mixes that blend her South Asian culture and the world around her; and Fancy Nancy Season 3, which will launch day and date with its premiere on Disney Junior.
