Daphne: BIFA hosts live commentary and Q&A

With major cinema chains still closed until July, and smaller cinemas unlikely to open for a while longer, watch parties and online Q&As have become the norm in the home entertainment landscape. Tonight, BIFA is going one step further hosting not only a virtual Q&A for the film Daphne, but also a live commentary from its director and star.
Emily Beecham stars in Peter Mackie Burns’ powerful character study about a 31-year-old chef who’s drifting through her London life, until she witnesses a shocking event.
The film, which was nominated for Best Actress at the 2017 British Independent Film Awards, will be talked about live by Beecham and Mackie Burns, along with editor Nick Emerson. They will provide a live commentary via Zoom Webinars, while viewers watch the film on a second screen. A Q&A will then take place afterwards, and attendees will be able to submit questions for them to answer live.
The watch party and commentary kicks off at 7.20pm, with the Q&A at 9pm – you can register for the event here.
